The engineering department of the polytechnic KaHo Sint-Lieven organizes education in electronics engineering, and cooperates in R&D with industrial partners. A first R&D-group focuses on Information Technology. R&D expertise is available in `Intelligent agent technology', e.g. in a project `Applications for mobile devices'. The second group, Electronics, teaches courses in digital design, DSP, microprocessors, and digital audio and sound processing. An example of an R&D-project is: 'Error correction in wireless systems'.
