The goal of ESP KTN is to support the electronic design community across the UK, driving innovation to maintain our excellence for innovative electronic design.
It groups UK organisations or a companies that supports the design community, or its value chain. Whether you're involved at the technology, component, circuit, software, system or product level, you could be part of the network.
A key ingredient to realising any successful and vibrant innovation culture is the sharing of knowledge, collaborative working and networking with peers, suppliers, customers and competitors.
Knowledge Transfer Networks are initiatives supported by the Technology Strategy Board designed to promote specific market sectors or technologies.
The ESP KTN is pulling together the network of the UK's capabilities across the electronics value chain, from research through to design and product development, and including sales and operations creating a community rich with potential collaborative partners.
The work of the KTN can be broadly divided into three main activities:
- The Capability Directory - a fully searchable listing of UK electronics companies to promote knowledge transfer and networking.
- Regional KTN activities - delivered by organisations aligned with the Regional Development Authorities or Devolved Authorities.
- National Program - a set of national themes and conferences covering emerging technologies, areas of excellence and good business practice relating to the electronics industry.
ESP KTN is a not for profit company limited by guarantee, acting independently for the benefit of the electronics sector.
