Personnel & Payroll Specialist

What you will do

As a Personnel and Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the monthly payroll processing & personnel administration for an assigned group of employees (incl. non-residents and shift employees), in compliance with applicable legislation and internal procedures. You will develop, advice on and implement the policies relating to the personnel and payroll matters. Your expertise will help make the strategic decisions on the payroll provider(s)/systems and related processes and procedures.

  • You take the lead or participate in ad-hoc projects (e.g. data transfer to the new HRIS system),
  • You are the point of contact for all the personnel and payroll related queries and you will support the employee claims
  • As a team member you share your expertise with other colleagues,
  • As you strive to continuous improvement you review & develop your own work processes. You improve the documentation so the information is easily retrievable and up-to date,
  • You are a dedicated absence and shift regulations advisor in terms of best practices, benchmarking, legal and payroll aspects,
  • You advise on career break, thematic and educational leave legislation and modalities helps our employees to take the right decisions in their careers,

Who you are

  • You are enthusiastic and reliable and you place the employees in the center of your work.
  • You are able to critically review own processes and coach others to implement the best practices and most efficient solutions.
  • In the near future, we are planning to change our HRIS tool and as such, a previous experience in a similar large-scale project is a must.
  • Familiarity with SAP is required and any other payroll provider or system acquaintance is an additional asset.
  • Experience in a payroll administration agency (sociaal secretariaat) and/or tax consulting firm is a plus.
  • You have at least five years of personnel and payroll administration experience, including shift and non-resident employees as well as the international payroll.
  • You are perfectly bilingual English & Dutch, any other language is appreciated.
