R&D Operations Officer

Following up on operations needed to support R&D activities of the Tape-out and Integration Enablement (TIE) group

What you will do

Imec leads the way in developing new technologies and technology platforms to enable novel devices, systems and applications. With scaling of CMOS technologies slowing down, photonics, fluidics, wafer-stacking, heterogenous integration become more and more important.
Within the Imec Tapeout and Integration Enablement (TIE) group, we support the integration community to tune Imec technologies to the demands of our internal and external customers.
Our major task is to enable the execution of complex projects for Derivative Technologies (DT) and Specialty Components Development (SCD) departments. We do this by enabling IC design, wafer processing and operations management.

Imec has two state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities, 200mm and 300mm, both operating 24/7. A new section of these cleanrooms has been built recently so that it can house the tools that will process 450mm wafers. That makes imec the first European site that is ready for 450mm. With the extra space, imec’s total cleanroom facilities now approach 10,000m².
